Card and filename must agree

A Windows card should start an exe. A Mac card should start a dmg. If the save dialog shows apk or an unknown suffix, you tapped the wrong card or the browser changed the default — cancel and return to Download.

Version lives on the card, not in chat

Cards print a version such as 3.2.1 plus a date. A coworker’s “latest” filename is often stale. The installer date post is more reliable than digits in a filename.

  1. Enter the official channel only from a Download card.
  2. After save, check exe or dmg.
  3. Grant OS permission. Windows admin: Microsoft Support.
